With three convenient locations around Richmond (Midlothian, Short Pump and Hull Street), Salon del Sol isn’t just a Richmond institution—it’s a family. We even have multiple generations working together, and you’re a part of our family, from your very first visit.

Our Ongoing Education Program has produced many of Richmond’s top stylists. In fact, 90% of our Master Stylists started their careers with us as an apprentice, and are now teaching Richmond’s next generation of talented hairstylists. Because of this innovative training program, we’re able to offer our guests a wide range of pricing, while delivering the excellence we’re known for. From Apprentice to Master, there’s a stylist who matches your budget, and your personal preferences.

We stay cutting-edge. Trends constantly evolve. That’s why every few months, we bring in the best international Aveda educators to continuously advance our skills. By consistently evolving our techniques, we stay ahead of what our guests are asking for (and have way more fun as artists- learn more about Careers with us).

  • The Environment
    As an Aveda salon, the wellbeing of the planet (and our community) is always on our minds. Choosing products that are 100% vegan, cruelty free, and sustainably sourced, is the ultimate way to say, “We care,” together.Through Earth Month and ongoing initiatives, we’ve raised over $100,000 for the James River Association. We continue to support ongoing improvements for our beloved natural resource.
  • In addition to our annual Earth Month campaigns, Salon del Sol proudly offers a year-round Round-Up for the River program at checkout. With each visit, you can choose to round your total to the nearest dollar, and 100% of your donation goes directly to the James River Association.
  • These small acts of generosity add up in a big way—helping to protect and restore the James, which provides drinking water to 2.7 million Virginians. Supporting JRA is one more way we connect our commitment to beauty with our responsibility to the environment and our community.
  • The Community
    Other ongoing areas of community involvement include service work with Richmond’s homeless population and fundraising for the March of Dimes.
